The Rusler Wooden Lip Gaff is a precision fishing tool built for one job — bringing a tired fish aboard cleanly, with minimal damage and maximum control.
Unlike heavy-duty gaffs designed for brute force, the Lip Gaff is engineered for a specific, delicate technique: carefully gaffing a fully exhausted fish under the bottom lip, then lifting vertically to spread the weight across the 6mm gaff head. The result is a small, clean hole under the lip — ideal for catch and release, or a clean keep.
HANDCRAFTED IN THE USA — A GENUINELY UNIQUE FISHING TOOL
Each Rusler Wooden Lip Gaff is hand-turned from premium US Maple by an Amish artisan woodturner in Tennessee — no phones, no email, no electricity. Horse and buggy, the whole nine yards. It's a logistical challenge to source, but the end result speaks for itself: a beautifully finished, grain-enhanced piece of kit that's as much a pleasure to hold as it is effective on the water.
