Jetcast Live Keeper Live Bait Hook — 7/0

Keep your bait alive longer and your hook fully exposed with the Jetcast Live Keeper — the live bait hook designed by offshore fishos who know that a lively bait is a caught fish.

Most live bait hooks force you to thread the hook through the bait, damaging vital tissue and shortening the bait's life dramatically. The Live Keeper solves this with a thin wire clip that secures the bait to the hook without piercing it. The result? Your bait swims naturally for longer, and the hook point stays completely clear — ready to strike the moment a fish takes it.

  • Thin wire clip holds bait securely without piercing or stressing it
  • Hook point stays fully exposed — no fouling on the bait
  • Longer-lasting, more active bait means more strikes
  • Size 7/0 — suited to a wide range of offshore and inshore live bait species
  • Designed for jet ski, boat and kayak anglers fishing offshore

Whether you're chasing pelagics offshore or working the reefs from your jet ski, the Live Keeper gives your live bait the best chance of doing its job — and gives you the best chance of a hookup.

Instructions for use:

The hook sits upright to the front of the bait fish

Open the clip and push through the bait in the membrane in front of the eyes or through the nasal area.

Close the clip ensuring the loop is locked correctly

Put the fish in the water as soon as possible to keep it fresh, or place it in the live bait tank until ready to drop it.

Suggested Rigging:

These are perfect for use on Paternoster rigs.  Let the target species take the bait before striking. You'll feel a strong tug as the fish hooks itself.

Add your own stinger hook using single strand wire for targeting pelagics like Tuna, Mackerel, and other species that generally take the bait "tail first".
